It was easily installed as always, but it was not indicates anywhere that Taiwan has stricter rules regarding sim registration. I had already arrives and was leaving the airport when I found out that you had to register using ID and real name for it to be usable. i was expecting to use the internet already to navigate my way to the hotel. Please do indicate in your steps if there are specific regulations etc that we need to conform per country to be able to use your sim

A bit confusing if my passport info was received and if my eSIM was activated or not. Was expecting to receive a 'success" text message after I resolved the "failed" text messages.

Great, but it will be good if you could let us select the start date. Then we will know when is the first day and last day of the connections. For now, we don’t know if the the first day is the day we scan the QR or the day we arrive in Taiwan.
Also on arrival to Taipei airport, didn’t knew we needed to connect to airport wifi to register and scan our passport. Could have allowed us to do it while purchasing the esim

The eSim worked well for me. Installation was a bit of an adventure, because i don’t know what I’m doing, but the process was fairly easy to follow, between Apple’s and the company’s instructions. The one thing I would say is that it takes time for all the “matching” to be done between the phone and the carrier. It doesn’t happen instantly. After I had performed all the steps, but didn’t see any service, I started composing an email to the company asking them to troubleshoot for me. But before I could finish the email, different aspects of the eSim kicked in. First i saw Mandarin characters appear in the upper left of my iphone. That was a good sign! Later another function kicked in, and then another. So be patient. You’ve probably installed it correctly, and you just have to wait for whatever magic happens behind the scenes between phone and carrier.
In terms of coverage, we were in Taipei, Taichung, Sun Moon Lake, and on the train or bus between those points. There was coverage always, except for brief moments without that were rare and never lasted more than 60 seconds. Maybe dead spots between towers.
I didn’t test the service by streaming movies or anything like that, but web pages downloaded fairly quickly and i had no trouble downloading a couple of apps. “Find my” worked for locating my daughter’s phone, and she could usually see where i was.
