Activation Point

Your data plan will start as soon as you connect to local network. You can scan the QR code and install the eSIM in advance. 24 hours is counted as 1 day and counted continuously from the point of service activation.

 
 
Expiration Period

Purchased plan can be used within 180 days from purchase. Since it is one-time prepaid data plan, once it is activated, there is no auto-renewals or extra charges.

What is real-name registration, and how do I complete it?

According to Taiwan’s latest regulations, real-name registration is required to activate your eSIM. Simply install the eSIM first, then complete the registration using the link provided in the QR voucher email. Once submitted, your eSIM will be ready to use immediately.
* Submitted information will be used solely for verification to prevent misuse of eSIMs and will be deleted immediately afterward.

Should I order and activate an eSIM before traveling?

You can purchase an eSIM at your convenience, either one day before your travel date or upon arrival at your destination.
Additionally, please note that to install the eSIM, your device must be connected to a Wi-Fi or a cellular data network.

Are voice calls and SMS available with the eSIM plan?

You cannot make phone calls or use SMS with this eSIM plan.
eSIM Taiwan-China-Hong Kong-Macau Unlimited is data-only and does not include a local mobile number.

After my eSIM plan expires, can I extend it?

We also offer a top-up service. You can find the “Make a Top-up” button in the email containing your QR code.

Are there any inaccessible mobile apps when using the eSIM plan?

Please be aware that as this eSIM plan provides a Hong Kong IP address, you may encounter issues accessing services such as TikTok or other restricted services in Hong Kong.

What should I do, when I didn't receive a QR code email?

Our QR code is sent automatically to the email address you’ve written in the order form within 15 minutes. If you haven’t received your email, please check the following below :

  1. Please check your promotion or spam folder first.
  2. You may have a typo in the email address you provided to us. In this case, please contact us at [email protected], so we can resend it to you as soon as possible.
  3. Please check the email associated with your payment method, as the QR code will be sent to that address.

TL;DR: Card works. Any problems email their support, they are very responsive.

I have used eSIMs many times before, but was frustrated mine was installed but not working. At the same time I received multiple text messages that my SIM package "failed to activate" because of incomplete registration and was directed to a web link that was tedious and clunky. After several days of frustration I left the review below and got a response that I should contact customer support. Fair enough - I emailed the "need help" address provided not expecting much.

Turns out they respond very quickly and I was able to resolve the issue using their guide (was missing a "data roaming" setting 🙃). So between them being honest enough to leave my rage-quit review on their web site and their fast tech support, felt they had earned this amendment.

IMO, there are still a couple of areas that could be improved:

* the real-name registration (where needed) should be resolved at purchase time or shortly thereafter, not when I'm in another country busy doing other things and don't have web access. and the web-flow for this should be clear about when/why something fails, not require re-entering the same fields again on retry, etc.

* transparency on how much time (or data) is left. does a "5 day" card end at midnight? does the clock start when I put it in my phone before my trip or when I first transfer data after landing? a web page that shows me exactly how many days/hours remain before deactivation would be helpful for planning.

But anyway - the card itself works great so maybe buy it and if you have issues tech support is responsive.
